How Muzdoor.com makes money

A common misconception is that Muzdoor.com charges customers and vendors a commission or fee to use the bidding platform. It doesn't. Here's how the revenue model actually works, and why we built it this way.

We Don't Charge Customers or Vendors. Here's Why...

Construction costs in Pakistan have been rising steadily, driven by inflation in building materials and labour. Adding a transaction fee on top of that would price out the smaller vendors and everyday homeowners the platform is built for. So instead of charging the two groups actually doing the work customers posting jobs and vendors bidding on them Muzdoor.com generates revenue from three other sources: advertising, optional add-on services, and platform subscriptions. That keeps the core bidding experience free on both ends.

Where the Revenue Actually Comes From

Advertising

Muzdoor.com sells display ad placements across the site. The placements are on the homepage, search results, and high-traffic pages like  Calculators . Available formats include:

  1. Billboard (1920 x 600)
  2. Leaderboard (728 x 90) and Large Leaderboard (970 x 90)
  3. Medium Rectangle (300 x 250)
  4. Wide Skyscraper (160 x 600)
  5. Half Page (1024 x 1024)
  6. Sign-In and Sign-Up page placements
  7. Text Ads (110 characters)

These let local businesses hardware suppliers, hosting providers, and contractors reach an audience actively working on construction and renovation projects.

Vendor Add-On Services

Vendors can optionally pay for services that help them win more bids and look more professional to customers, including:

  1. Muzdoor Profile Optimization
  2. Residential and Commercial BOQ (Bill of Quantities) preparation
  3. Company logo design
  4. PDF business profile creation
  5. Google Business Profile optimization

None of these are required to bid. They are upgrades for vendors who want extra visibility or professional presentation.

Consultancy and Site-Visit Services

For customers who want expert input before or during a project, Muzdoor.com offers paid consultancy:

  1. Basic Q&A sessions with construction professionals
  2. Residential and Commercial consultancy packages
  3. Residential and Commercial site visits

This exists because construction knowledge in Pakistan is unevenly distributed. A customer in Karachi may have no local reference point for what a fair quote looks like, while a consultant with cross-regional experience can bridge that gap. This is a paid add-on, not a requirement to use the core platform.

Hosting and Web Services

Vendors and businesses can also purchase hosting-related services through the platform:

  1. Hosting consultancy
  2. Website hosting (Silver, Gold, Platinum tiers)
  3. Email hosting

Additional Platform Add-Ons

Other optional paid features include extra bid submissions (One Bid, Five Bids packages), virtual business addresses, and social media management for vendors who want ongoing marketing support.

The Bottom Line

Muzdoor.com's model is built around keeping the bidding process itself free, and monetizing the layer around it which is advertising, professional upgrades, and optional expert services. Full pricing details for every tier above are on the  Pricing page. If you're a vendor deciding which add-ons are worth it, our  How It Works  guide walks through the platform end to end.
